Summit Ridge Energy, Osaka Gas enter new solar and storage partnerships

Summit Ridge Energy and Osaka Gas USA Corp. are expanding their partnership with a joint venture to construct, own and operate more than 100 MW of solar projects in Virginia and 8 MW of energy storage in New York.

The third and fourth agreements between SRE and OGUSA represent a nine-figure investment.

Summit Ridge, a commercial solar company, now enters the Virginia solar market and expands into New York’s battery storage market. SRE anticipates having more than 400 MW of PV solar online by the end of 2023.

OGUSA invests in energy infrastructure assets and businesses across North America. The company has a partial or full stake in nine natural-gas fired plants in the U.S. and also promotes renewable energy in its power business.
