Program Description

The Full-Time Massage Therapy Program is a five semester program providing students with a strong health science foundation of anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology, with each semester methodically building on the previous one. The complexity of massage techniques progresses from an introductory level to a highly integrated set of treatment skills.

Ethics, legislation, and practice management concepts are added and interwoven throughout the program, along with orthopedic assessment and rehabilitation skills. Students increasingly apply their skills in the student clinic and through patient outreach experiences.

Our mission is to continually evolve and advance Massage Therapy education through academic and clinical excellence, implementation of current best practices, and constant improvement and reflection as the profession continues to grow and integrate within the broader healthcare community and serve the needs of the public as advocates and ambassadors of health and wellness.

Entrance Requirements

  1. Secondary School Diploma – No specific courses are required
  2. Current Standard First Aid & CPR Level C
  3. Clear Vulnerable Sector Screening Police Clearance dated within 6 months of the start of the program
  4. English Language Proficiency

Massage Therapy Act, 1991

Program Description 

The Advanced Standing Program is available only to individuals with specific prior education in the areas of musculoskeletal anatomy, physiology, pathology, orthopedic assessment, nutrition and remedial exercise. Lectures and practical instruction are delivered over nine weekend modules.


This program focuses on CMTO regulatory requirements, ethical and professional practice, legislation governing the profession, introductory and advanced concepts of massage therapy techniques, hydrotherapy, and the outcome-based massage therapy treatment framework as it relates to common injures, impairments, and conditions. Students apply their skills in the student clinic and through patient outreach experiences.

  2. Other qualified Health Professionals if specific conditions are met
